If you already give of yourself, I extend heartfelt gratitude and a virtual hug. If you have yet to discover the joy of volunteering, I would encourage you to take a first step.

And I would like to offer more than virtual gratitude and encouragement. As an artist, I am compelled to share my vision, and as a lifelong volunteer, I know that money is not the only 'legal tender'. Many of us give of ourselves without financial compensation. So in the original spirit of barter I would like to exchange my art for your time.

Send me confirmation that you have given ten hours of time to civic or environmental volunteerism in the past month and I will send you the 'print of the month' or 6 greeting cards of the month's image. 

Alternatively, volunteers who give 15 or more hours a month can select six greeting cards from any image from the Handcolored portfolios. This can be a single image or any mixture.

During 2008, I am going to be re-posting my favorite images.  I will be spending the year working on a new portfolio for Beazell Memorial Forest, a new natural areas park in the Benton County, Oregon, park system.  It is a treasure and deserves my best efforts.  In addition, I am launching another website, a journal of handcrafted silver gelatin emulsion-making.
